Critters

Dear Andrew,
I miss you!
Pop-pop misses you too!
This is Pop-pop holding Rascal, a yellow kitten. Rascal is our favorite!

Rascal likes to be held.
Rascal likes to cuddle.
Rascal purrs and purrs and PURRS!

Andrew, this guy is a red-spotted newt.
Do you see his red spots with black circles around them?

If you try to pick him up —
guess what happens?
He drops his tail!
But don’t worry, he will grow a new one!
Isn’t that amazing!

Deer!

There are lots —
And lots —
And LOTS of deer here!
This deer is a buck.
(That means he’s a boy!)
Do you know how I know?
He has antlers!

<<<<<>>>>>

Turkeys!

There are four adult turkeys —
can you count them?

There are four baby turkeys —
called poults —
or chicks.
Can you find four baby turkeys?

Rabbits!

Andrew, there are lots —
and lots —
and
LOTS
Of rabbits here too!
You would love it!

Opossums!

These possum babies are called joeys.
They are about three months old.
Mommy possums are called jills.
Daddy possums are called jacks.
Isn’t that funny!

And Daddy.

Love from all of us!! Mimi and Pop-pop and Ginger and Itsy and Molly and Macchiato and Rascal and Spitfire and Feisty! And hugs and kisses too!!!!
